I’m far from perfect and you’re right, our readers like that so much more.

You know what you are right. I am a new reader, but this is precisely why you had me hooked at 2 minutes of landing in your page (and I just found you because a friend linked to one of your posts on facebook or pinterest). Also, the name of your blog is just genius.

Your advice is so spot on. I have stopped reading some otherwise well written, beautifully illustrated blogs because their lives always seemed so perfect I ended up feeling it was fake, pretend, make believe and yes, I found it quite annoying.

At first I felt inadequate, reading this unreal blogs, because I was like wait a minute this girl says she’s 23 and she keeps travelling and staying at fancy hotels every single weekend. Even if you travel cheap (trust me I do it) it’s not that cheap. Then I realized. Either it’s fake, or this people are millionaires. In any case they lost me because I want to be able to relate with the blogger. Blogging, to me, is a conversation and I want to know the person behind cares, and is real

Thanks for this. And you are so funny. I just suscribed to your channel, this time, you had me ????

Oh, Amanda! I love you already ???? I have unsubscribed from many blogs for the same reason. It’s especially hard when you’re going through a rough patch and have to see that.

I agree with you. I like the real. You can always tell when someone is faking it.

Loved that jig, it was so worth it.

Yep, there are enough fake people to go around the world a few times. Real is always refreshing, maybe not as pretty, but refreshing.

Love the dance moves. And I totally agree with keeping it real. Life is messy, and I find I connect moe with people showing the mess. It’s a balance. I want to be inspired, entertained, informed … when I read a blog. Love your blog!

Your next vid should be a tutorial on how to dance like that. Perfection should never be the objective. Flaws are much more interesting.

You’re hilarious. I should show a picture of me when I’m up early talking to you on G+! That will show my hair’s not always done! And your jig is fabulous. And I think your outfit’s cute, love the yellow tights!

Do it! Not that you look horrible or anything. But yah, real is good and refreshing.

You crack me up and totally inspired my next blog. I WAS inspired from this Pinterest post about a mom who went a year without yelling at her children. I lasted 10 minutes after my daughter got home from school. I know it sounds bad that I only have one child, but in my defense she and the dog were plotting against me. I swear they have some sort of psychic powers that zone in on when I am going to turn over a new leaf. Needless to say I deleted that Pinterest post from my board because it is obviously ridiculous. Like those two day old babies who can prop their heads up on their hands and smile for pictures.

Holy cow! A year? The only way I could maintain a full year without yelling at my kids would be if I had laryngitis for a solid year. That is the only way.

Fantastic advise! Like others, I have stopped following some blogs because it seems like all they ever write about is their perfect children, and their perfect husband, perfect house, perfect dog. Blah, blah, blah.

Hillary, you are the cutest. There, I said it. (While wearing a hat to mash down my spiky, unwashed hair.)

Ut Oh. Guilty as charged. But it wasn’t always that way. I backed off of some postings that were more “real” because family members were annoyed with anything negative that I wrote. Why, oh why did I EVER tell family about my blog, I don’t know. But anyway… I like your suggestions. Those are easy to do and I can make it real without family getting up in arms ????

I love those real stories, like when crafters show their failed projects. Love those posts! Also love a good jig. Nice job.

Yes! Those are the best. I think it’s hilarious to see the craft fails and even just the mess in the background.
