I Woke Up Like This with Garnier’s Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream

By | May 11, 2015

I remember when I was in college I would throw out the term “sleep-deprived” as if I knew what it meant. Back then, I used sleep like it was a currency I could borrow from the bank. I could “pay it back” on the weekends by sleeping for two days.

Now, I look back on that poor, sleep-deprived college girl and I laugh. You cannot understand what sleep-deprivation is until you have a baby. Sure, pulling an “all-nighter” to write a paper or study for an exam is absolutely exhausting. But if you get to play catch up then you’re not really living with sleep-deprivation.

When you have a baby sleep is no longer a currency to play with. Instead, sleep becomes this vital nutrient in which you find your body always deficient. We can talk about all the ways sleep-deprivation wrecks your health, but today I want to focus on how it damages your skin.

Beauty sleep? Yah, it’s actually a thing. Just ask the bags under my eyes. You need about seven to nine hours of sleep for cells to regenerate. Waking up multiple times throughout the night totally interrupts hormonal and metabolic processes. So even if we can play catch-up with a nap here and there, moms of babies are just going to look tired.

I got to try out a new product from Garnier that combats the whole sleep problem. Garnier Ultra-Lift® Miracle Sleeping Cream™ Anti-Age + Anti-Fatigue Night Cream is a delightful product to try on your skin. I noticed right away that my skin felt silky and smelled amazing. I’ve been using Garnier’s Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream for several weeks now and I have to say that my skin looks better in the morning. No, I don’t wake up looking like Beyonce, but I do feel like my skin is more supple and definitely brighter.

I do my regular cleansing routine at night, and dab a pearl-sized amount on my face and neck. Garnier’s Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream is my way to put sleep back in the bank. My darling baby might rob me some precious hours, but Garnier is helping me to not look it. If you want more info, visit the Garnier website!
