Trained: 100%

Are y’all tired of hearing me talk about potty-training yet? Don’t worry. This is the last post. I promise.

Know why?

potty trained

Cause the boy is potty-trained now! 100%! No accidents, no anal retentiveness, not even any more treats necessary!

Phew!

I have to say, it feels good on this end. And probably on his end as well. {He was really holding it in, if you catch my drift}

Ok, so it took longer than when I potty-trained Coco, but my GOODNESS this was so much easier! In the back of my mind I would wonder when Pull-Ups would take the backseat and “big boy pants” would ride solo. Would it ever happen? Would he be in Pull-Ups until Kindergarten?

And then out of the blue, he made the transition. Suddenly, without warning, he was potty-trained. Now he just bellows from the bathroom, “I’m DuuuuuuuuuuuuNNNNNNNEE!” and I know I’m a hero.

potty training quote

If you’ve been on the back-end of someone else’s anal retentiveness…Well, you know just how miserable that can be. I don’t know why it’s such a hurdle, but pooping in the toilet is apparently a really. big. deal. Like, the kid would rather eat a jar of mayonnaise than suffer the horrendous ordeal of sitting on the potty. [Come to think of it, this kid WOULD eat a jar of mayonnaise…ugh.]

Therefore, I feel that I am a hero because I potty-trained that stubborn little son of a gun. I got him to let go and let poop. He’s much happier this way–as long as I don’t make the grievous error of flushing his toilet for him.

To finish off this series and send Chaucer into the realm of private bathroom affairs, I made a video. With him. He is so flipping cute–you have to watch!

Pull-Ups helps take the scare out of potty training by making it fun and easy with new Monsters U character training pants! You can help make potty training easier by staying consistent and using rituals like the potty break. Make it a game and ask your toddler, “What does a little monster take?”…“A Potty Break!”
